A condensing boiler only reaches its headline efficiency when it actually condenses — when the water coming back from your radiators is cool enough to pull extra heat out of the flue gases. On many older systems we're called to, a new boiler was simply hung where the old one was, and it rarely condenses. Here's what we do differently when we fit a Vitodens 100-W.
Protecting the warranty. The component warranty extends from 2 to 5 years only when the boiler is connected through ViCare and serviced annually by an approved Viessmann Australia technician. We connect it at commissioning and book the first service so that cover isn't lost by accident.
One honest note: Victoria no longer allows new gas connections for most new homes, and the ACT has stopped new gas network connections.
